The citizens witness a tampering nation with the implementation of Citizenship Amendment Act. CAA has compromised ‘right to religion’ one of our nation’s primary fundamental right. Such a citizenship granted is discrimination on the basis of religion. Approach of the government to protect the persecuted community and the minorities is appreciated, but citizenship based on religion is unconstitutional. The office of the UN High Commissioner of Human Rights phrases this act as “fundamentally discriminatory”.

Assam and northeastern states fear for the loss of their identity and culture when immigrants are allowed to settle, but as a matter of fact our nation is losing its true identity by breaking its own principles. The bill can weaken India’s historic character. Massive protest is seen throughout the nation accompanied with enormous casualties. Human rights are getting violated through the approval of this act. The unity of religion and culture was clearly seen in the Ayodhya verdict, where a peaceful reaction was seen from both the community’s. The Act triggers this tranquil union. CAA is a bill against human rights questioning the practice of religion. The CAA will unmake India, poison relationships of trust across religion. When scores of police get injured, it is retaliated with death and arrest of protestors. Violation of human rights have crossed the limit where an eight year old gets killed during the protest.
The CAA has let out massive chaos and riot and violation of human rights. It seems like CAA will result in excluding majority of Muslims from National Population Register (NPR), as CAA was the first move by the government before proceeding with NPR. If an Act turns out to alter national identity, it is the act which is to be restrained, not the protesters.
